Calgary Dermatopathology
Dr Alanen is a formally trained and certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. Dermatopathology is the art and science of the microscopic diagnosis of skin disease. It is how a doctor diagnoses your tissue when it is "sent away for testing".
He has completed a two year fellowship in Dermatopathology, and provides diagnostic expertise daily. Dr Alanen is also the Director of the University of Alberta Dermatopathology Fellowship.
Your Diagnosis
At Derm.ca, should you require a skin biopsy to confirm or establish your diagnosis, it will be reviewed by Dr. Alanen.
