The Juvederm Procedure
Performed in the comfort of the Derm.ca laser and Esthetics clinic, the Juvederm procedure is administered by one of our doctors, or a Medically trained Juvederm Specialists.
Small needles are used to inject the Juvederm gel compound beneath the surface of the skin. The Juvederm compound contain a small amount of pain-reducing lidocaine which help reduce any pain or discomfort during the procedure.
Depending on the size of the severity of the wrinkles and the size of facial area being treated, the procedure is generally completed within 30 – 60 minutes.
When Will I See Results?
Most patients experience immediate results, however, it may take up to 10 days for the swelling and bruising to subside, allowing the final result to be fully visible.
How Long Will The Results Last?
Juvederm has formulated a variety of different hyaluronic acid based compounds, each consisting of a different thickness. The length of time results last varies based on Juvederm formulation and area f the face being treated.

Is There Any Downtime?
After the treatment, patients will experience some redness, tenderness, and swelling which will generally subside within a few days. Normal activities can be resumed immediately after leaving the clinic, and make-up can be safely applied. As with most of the procedures we administer, we recommend refraining from heavy lifting or other strenuous activities for a few days.
